Gino Vannelli - November 3

Canadian singer-songwriter Gino Vannelli first made a name for himself in the ‘70’s after moving from his native Montreal to Los Angeles where he signed with A&M Records. He went on to release a total of six albums between 1974 and 1978 … five of which made the Billboard charts. His mega-hits included “People Gotta Move,” “I Just Wanna Stop” and “Wheels of Life.” With his records climbing the charts, Vannelli ended up touring as the opener for Steve Wonder.

Soon after receiving a Grammy nomination for “Best Pop Male Vocalist”, he found himself headlining his own concerts to sold-out venues across North America. During the 80’s, he released additional albums which spawned such chart-toppers as “Black Cars, “Hurts to Be in Love” and “Wild Horses.” His most recent album, Live in LA – which was recorded at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles – was released in 2015. In addition to his Grammy nomination, Vannelli has taken home four Juno Awards.
